Greetings
The 10th Annual Greenwood Demolition
Derby is happening again this year 4th
and 5th of June. We are letting you know as early as possible so
you may get those derby cars ready and to save some money by pre-registering
before May 21st, 2005. We enjoyed all, that participated last
year and we look forward to seeing you all again.
Enclosed are the rules and regulations, along with a red registration form.
Please be sure to
READ the RULES and REGULATIONS,
as they have been REVISED.
Pre registration is $70 or $80
at the gate, registration fees are NON
REFUNDABLE. A $50.00 bond for clean up, which will be refunded when car and
area has been cleaned up, will again be required. We ask that, if you are paying
by cheque, that you write one cheque for registration and a separate cheque for
the bond. Also enclosed is a poster, please help us advertise, by displaying
them in a prominent location.
A
big focus on safety must always
be observed. Please be aware the pits are a RESTRICTED area for drivers and pit crew only. Due to the
safety concern of children being in the pit area, a maximum of 4
PIT PASSES will be attached to each member’s wrist at the gate.
Any driver or
associated pit crew who DISTURBS, HARASSES or IGNORES ANY OFFICIAL during an
event will automatically be DISQUALIFIED.
****The DRIVER and PIT CREW are RESPONSIBLE for
keeping their own areas clear of non authorized personnel, which includes ALL
CHILDREN under the age of 16. Any driver with CHILDREN in their pit area will be
given one warning only and then will be DISQUALIFIED. NO EXCEPTIONS, NO
EXCUSES!!

remember: these rules are for YOUR SAFETY!!!!***
All drivers are asked to bring their own flags.
These consist of a double-ended pole/stick, with a white
flag on one end and a red
flag on the other end. Drivers must
have these flags in their cars. If you do not have one, we have these available
from the Derby Committee information tent (behind the announcer booth) for a
small fee.
Drivers
are
always
welcome to
attend a meeting with the committee, to discuss any issues or questions. Please
phone one of the above numbers for information on committee meeting dates.
