Championships and Family Fun Days: Gold Panner Campground -

May 3rd - Interested in the Boundary area geology? Selkirk College has
a 1 day geology fieldtrip, led by retired geology instructor Leslie
Anderton, on Saturday May 3rd, 9 - 5 pm. A slide show will be followed
by a field trip to view and gain knowledge of local rocks, minerals and
mining history. Cost is $35. Call Selkirk College for more details or
to register.

was held on April 24,2008 A good attendance for presentation
by Dave Lefebure was appreciated by all.

Field trips in the works: Tours of the Merit Mine facility and the
Crown Jewel Mine, Kinross operation at Chesaw, Washington are being planned. Dates to be
announced.
2008 Memberships are now due $20 - new members are welcome.
Boundary
Mining Association T-shirts and hats are now available for
sale: T-shirts are $10 each. Hats are available in a
range of colours and styles, with prices ranging from $12 - $16.

Aug25, 2007 Information regarding notice to
private land owners: Read the notices from Gerald German, formerly
with the BC Ministry of Energy Mines and Petroleum Resources, who has
been mandated to gather stakeholder input for the rules
governing the delivery, content and timing of the notice that miners
must provide to landowners when entering on private land.
