Our
next Boundary Mining Association meeting is a dinner meeting, details
as follows:
Date: Thursday, October 8th
Place: New Century Restaurant, Grand Forks
Time: 6:00 pm
Cost: $12 per person
Following dinner, John Jewitt (former President of Granby Mining
and Granisle Copper) will relate some experiences gained while Manager
of Engineering & Development for Chevron Minerals.
Chevron developed propertiesin Canada, the USA, Chile, Australia &
Ireland. John’s guests include three retired mining
executives, an oil geologist and two CPA Captains.
Hope to see you there. New members and guests are always welcome.

May 3rd - Interested in the
Boundary area geology? Selkirk College has a 1 day geology
fieldtrip, led by retired geology instructor Leslie Anderton, on
Saturday May 3rd, 9 - 5 pm. A slide show will be followed
by a field trip to view and gain knowledge of local rocks, minerals and
mining history. Cost is $35. Call Selkirk College for
more details or to register.
